Ley 2/2023

Ley 2/2023 is the Spanish transposition of EU Directive 2019/1937, in force since 13 March 2023. It carries the EU's highest administrative fine ceiling at €1,000,000 for very serious infringements. Supervised by the Autoridad Independiente de Protección del Informante (AAI), it applies to private companies with 50 or more employees and all public-sector entities.

Ley 2/2023, de 20 de febrero, reguladora de la protección de las personas que informen sobre infracciones normativas y de lucha contra la corrupción is the Spanish transposition of EU Directive 2019/1937.
